1962 Aston Martin DB4

This lovely Aston Martin is a Series 4, one of approximately 300 made.  It is original UK RHD and one of approximately 30 Series 4 cars fitted with an “SS”, or Special Series, engine. This is effectively a Vantage specification with triple SU’s, different cams, porting and larger valves. The other desirable extras fitted were overdrive, DB4 GT instruments and electric windows. 

The car drives beautifully and was a concours winner in the 1980s. We have carried out a comprehensive series of tests on the engine (compression, cylinder leak-down and oil pressure) and it is absolutely sound in all respects. Bodywork, chassis and interior are all in excellent condition.

This very rare and collectable car comes with a history file which includes the original buff logbook, handbook and Aston Martin build sheet, works service history from 1962 to 1965, details of an engine rebuild in 1971 and invoices showing regular maintenance from 2002 to 2012, including conversion to unleaded.

With Aston Martin values continuing to rise, this represents a great opportunity to purchase a highly enjoyable and attractive investment at a realistic price. Good quality DB4s will not be available at this price for long....
